I am going to be your nurse for today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before we start, I&#8217;m going to ask you some pre-screening questions just to make sure we are &#8220;all on the same page.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But first we are going to attach you to our vital signs monitor so we can watch your heart rhythm &amp; rate, your oxygen level, and blood pressure. It will just take a minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now I am going to ask you the same questions I ask of everybody, ok? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let&#8217;s check if your wristband is correct. We want to make sure that you are the right person so that you get the correct medications. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">INTRO<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What is your full name? Last name?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When is your birthdate? <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What year is it now? <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What is the name of this hospital? <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perfect. Now I will ask some basic general questions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TRAVEL &amp; EXPOSURE<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Do you know, or think you know, if you may have been exposed to someone who has had COVID or the flu within the past two weeks?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have you traveled outside the country within the past month? <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">LIVING SITUATION<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Are you coming from home, a skilled or assisted nursing facility, or a board &amp; care? <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do you feel safe at home?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Who else lives with you? <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How did you arrive here?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">CODE STATUS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This [question] is just a formality, but if we have to resuscitate you, will you allow us to do that? Do you also want us to do chest compressions, or is everything else ok? <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If not, do you want us to allow natural death (i.e., DNR = do not resuscitate)? <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BLOOD ADMINISTRATION<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You do <em>not<\/em> need to get blood right now. But if we ever need to give you blood, is that ok?
